Optic Nerve

The optic nerve is a bundle of more than a million nerve fibers that transmit visual information from the retina to the brain. Damage to the optic nerve, such as from glaucoma or optic neuritis, can lead to vision loss or blindness. The health of the optic nerve is critical for maintaining normal vision.
