Neutropenia

Neutropenia is a condition characterized by an abnormally low number of neutrophils, a type of white blood cell essential for fighting infections. It can result from various factors, including chemotherapy, bone marrow disorders, and autoimmune diseases. Patients with neutropenia are at increased risk of infections and may require treatments such as antibiotics, growth factors, or changes in medication.
